From Ōtautahi, Aotearoa, Tobias Glitch has a taste for bass music that refuses to sit in a box. His sets can move through deep progressive techy-ness to swanky bass and other strange corners of dance music, adapting to time and stage. Shaped by Te Waipounamu’s grassroots festival scene and hand-built sound-system culture, Tobias Glitch records the sounds of his environment and uses them as tools to create his glitched out bass journeys. Moving between deep, spacious grooves and moments of intensity, his sets encourage movement whether it be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. As a co-founder/technician of Psymatic Sound System and a trained audio engineer, he approaches music from both sides of the booth, with an aim to nourish the dancefloor with the music that nourishes him.
