We are a group of mates who got together to initially run small gigs out
 of a barbershop in Wellington. Our first gigs were capped at 100pax but
 the sounds were powered by hefty sound systems. We have kept that ethos
 going with our current gigs. 



We run only a couple a year and the focus is still on a smaller more 
intimate dance with a legendary roster of sound system crews that we 
work with like Third Eye Hi-Fi, Further Sound and Prescription Audio.

We're a group of young bucks that host high-energy, grassroots events 
across the motu. From bar gigs to bush doofs, we aim to push the 
underground sound of Aotearoa and hold space for musicians to shine. Our
 main event, Rolling Hertz, has quickly become a staple for bass and 
music lovers across the country. 

We love linking crews, sound systems, and talented people from all 
corners of the country to come bring their talents together to create 
something truly gangster and special. Creating a space where everyone 
can bring their passion to the table and for it all to converge into an 
epic experience for everyone to enjoy. 

As well as hosting events, we also have a DJ roster of the most talented
 locals in the area. All homies and brought up in the Tasman music 
scene, veterans of the underground sound.  Building a loyal following 
and bringing hype, vibrant crowds wherever we go, performing takeovers 
at festivals such as Twisted Frequency, Into The Vortex, Oasis, and 
Rolling Hertz. 



 Our kaupapa is all about connection, intention, and fkn gangsta bass 
music,  crafting full-spectrum musical journeys from start to finish. 
Expect deep and rolling through to chunky, techy, spontaneous, and 
experimental. We focus on a range of bass-heavy genres including 
halftime, dubstep, minimal rollers, grime, jungle, UKG, breaks, always 
curated with intention and flavor.

Ghost Media was formed in 2018 as a vehicle for its creator, Casper de 
Wit aka Young Gho$t, to host events that he could perform at alongside 
his peers. In the post-lockdown events boom, this snowballed into 
regular events in a range of genres, which naturally led to bringing 
artists from overseas, placing well respected international DJs 
alongside talented locals. In 2021 they began embracing soundsystem 
culture, working alongside crews such as Further Sound, Third Eye Hi-Fi 
and Tubs Audio to deliver audio-focused club nights showcasing a full 
spectrum of styles of electronic music. Since then they have maintained a
 commitment to DIY culture and creating unforgettable nights for music 
fans in Aotearoa’s capital and beyond. Nowadays, they're just trying to 
provide people with a good time in this capitalist hellhole we live in.

I was born in the space before a night out while playing music and 
getting ready with my girls. Between putting on my flatmate's clothes, 
trying to find the perfect outfit and having a kiki, Miss Raven was 
born. The year is 2024, we’re in a mouldy Welly flat where I host the 
best pres and house parties. I knew it was time to take my creative 
hosting skills to the big stage… A fierce diva was born. My shawties and
 I are multifaceted; we have plenty of creative outlets. We have now 
hosted a vast range of events. Band nights, DJ gigs, market days and 
even art galleries. We love to bless the Pōneke scene with our presence.
 We have a slick as team who’s Kaupapa aligns with my own, wanting to up
 lift FLINTA*. Not to hate but we put more than just a token girl on the

First Things First is a soundsystem music crew on the mission to push 
soundsystem culture. FTF represents roots/dub, dubstep, bass and jungle 
running events throughout Te Whanganui A Tara. At the core of First 
Things First is a commitment to paying homage to the roots of 
soundsystem culture, our focus is to prioritise the rig, the selection 
and the shared energy of the dance.

 and wider Aotearoa. Also incorporating local art and design into our 
shows via poster design, set design and visuals.
We value diversity in all of our events from our line up to the

Safehouse began as a small club event in Wellington with the original 
goal of creating a place for self expression and connection through 
dance music. Since then we have worked hard to push creativity and 
growth in the community, collaborating with collectives around the 
country creating high energy nights that welcome all genres and people.

Corner Store is a Pōneke based collective and a platform for local DJs 
and producers across any styles of electronic music, especially those on
 the fringes. Our events always have a live VJ and a focus on quality 
sound. We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and affordable environment 
for dancing and appreciating the full spectrum of electronic music, as 
well as hopefully opening people’s minds to more leftfield sounds. We’ve
 hosted gigs in venues across Wellington including Moon, b.Space, 
Heartbreaker & The Welsh Dragon (where it all started), and we’ve 
collaborated with the likes of Third Eye HiFi, Porcelain, Bella Mae, and
 the Pōneke Party Guardians on some of these events.


Founded by a core team of designer, VJ, and two producers (who all DJ 
too), we started as a platform for recorded mixes - before shifting 
focus in 2023 to hosting gigs, which we’ve done ever since. We’ve now 
become a record label as well. Our first release is ‘Reduction’ by 
Monday Sucks, a bouncy, minimal 4 track EP inspired by juke, footwork

Hori Inc. is a Māori-led organisation based in the Tasman region, 
dedicated to uplifting music and culture, especially underground 
hip-hop. We provide a platform for unheard artists to shine through live
 shows, workshops, and community outreach, creating spaces that heal, 
connect, and empower. Our founder's personal journey from depression to 
finding hope through music fuels our mission. Inspired by the lyric 
"Back painting these bars instead of painting my arms," Hori Inc. aims 
to create life rafts for artists, offering spaces where they are seen, 
heard, and valued. Hip-hop, often misunderstood, is a powerful tool for 
storytelling, healing, and expression. We fight the stigma, proving that
 underground rap is not a threat but a source of strength. Run by 
volunteers, Hori Inc. has thrived on passion, but rising costs threaten 
our closure. Losing Hori Inc. would silence emerging artists, disconnect
 youth from culture, and eliminate a vital space of belonging. We 
fundraise to cover venue hire, high-quality sound gear, artist 
promotion, and fair pay for local talent. and any support keeps the 
music alive, lifts our people, and carries our kaupapa forward.

A bit about us: Hutt Collective began in 2021 when five friends from the
 Hutt Valley, all passionate about underground house music, decided to 
start DJing together. What started as a small venture quickly evolved 
into us running our own events across Wellington and now in Sydney too. 
We began with local artists and quickly move on to hosting international
 artists such as Josh Baker (UK), Per Hammar (SWE), Black Loops (ITA), 
Nate S.U (AUS), Clint (FRA), and Isaac Carter (UK), to name a few. Our

 and are currently organising an outdoor event with TwoMinds in 
Wellington! No event is the same with us, we are always looking for the

Leather Kennel started as an ad-hoc production studio to foster the 
growing underground talent in our local music scene. We started from 
scratch, essentially pooling together whatever music equipment we had

Aotearoa’s music scene is massive, and we at Kaitiaki Records — a new (3-year-old) and long-awaited label — are a fresh face bringing you all things jungle and break-related from the deep south of NZ. Expect heavy jungle vibes from an array of talented grassroots NZ artists such as Spook, Getafix, Ali On, Fluid Haunts, and Optics.

Kaitiaki Records started as an idea when we felt jungle music wasn’t given a place to shine compared to DnB. So, we decided to create a space for the Junglists of Aotearoa — a safe, creative outlet where they could release music and express who they are as artists. We are a collective, not a single entity. We are all Kaitiaki of our own music; no matter the genre, we remain unique in our expressions yet united under the values we uphold at Kaitiaki Records. Through passion, community support, and love for jungle music, Kaitiaki Records was born.

‘Kaitiaki’ translates to guardian, keeper, or protector. With the suffix ‘tanga’ (as in Kaitiakitanga), it means preservation and protection. Before choosing our name, we went back to the people of the land and sought guidance from a tohunga (expert), who gave their full blessing. ‘Kaitiakitanga’ reflects traditional Māori knowledge and worldviews — values we embrace deeply. Our name represents our commitment to preserve, respect, and celebrate the unique sounds and talents of Aotearoa while upholding Tikanga.

Originally beginning as a techno and experimental focused club night in Auckland, New Zealand – and now based in Christchurch - Keepsakes and Jaded Nineties Raver’s Haven imprint is aiming to bring the best of the country’s new guard of dance music on to the world stage alongside some distinctive voices from the international scene.  Intervention to call out inappropriate or predatory behaviour where we 
see it. Our aim is to uphold the ethos of freely given, enthusiastic and

hug, a heavy conversation or sexy times, asking for permission first is 
essential! Our volunteers are roaming the party in green vests and are

Their Professional Respect Training workshops are available free to everyone in the music

community to learn foundational knowledge for building and upholding safer workplaces.

Ride On Super Sound is Ōtautahi NZ's only volunteer-run not-for-profit 
community-based indie retail clusterfuck, selling quality local products
 on behalf of local musicians, labels, zinesters, cartoonists and 
publishers, with a selection of new and used imports.

Originally established in 2018 next to venerable indie venue Darkroom, 
it moved to a tiny shack atop beloved Christchurch drinking spot Smash 
Palace, and is currently situated inside BOXed Quarter on St Asaph St.

It will undoubtedly combust within the year, so prospective customers 
are encouraged to partake of its glorious cultural bounty before it goes
 gently into that good night, as these special little places so often 
do.

The Image Gig Guide

oneonethree is part of a wider exploration into how shared space can 
drive social, environmental and cultural change. Alongside sister 
projects oneonesix and two/fiftyseven, it tests how combining living, 
working, and public functions in one footprint creates deeper community,
 reduces carbon impact, and redefines how urban space can serve us all.

Located in Pōneke, the project reimagines underused urban zones by 
asking: what if homes, workspaces, and venues weren’t separated by time 
or function? What if a space could be a gig venue by night, a workplace 
by day, and still feel like a child’s home at heart?

We began by moving in and living lightly — testing layouts, building 
with salvaged materials, and refining as we went. From shared meals to 
full-blown gigs, every use informed the evolving design. Flexible 
furniture, modular kitchens, and curtain-divided rooms allow constant 
transformation. Community members helped prototype and shape the layout 
through daily use.

The design prioritises connection and light. A child’s bedroom opens 
into communal space. The Goodbones kitchen system reduces embodied 
carbon by 90%. Artworks by Dreamgirls Collective are embedded into 
walls, storytelling in form.

oneonethree blurs the lines between work and home, child and adult, 
public and private. It enables genuine intergenerational connection, 
inviting young people into the centre of urban life. Through sharing, it
 multiplies the use of space and dramatically reduces emissions — 
creating a socially, culturally, and environmentally regenerative model 
of urban living.

Gremlins is an independent creative platform created in 2024 by and for 
the people of Ōtautahi. Championing the grassroots and underground 
communities in the 03, Gremlins bolsters the underpinnings of Ōtautahi 
that make it roar. Through journalism, music, art, photography, culture,
 and more, Gremlins aims to authentically capture the raw essence of 
Ōtautahi to make sure that you're in the know.

Two/fiftyseven is a radical, community-powered space in Pōneke, 
Aotearoa, designed for people to work, create, and connect in ways that 
support justice, sustainability, and collective wellbeing. We believe 
space should be accessible, inclusive, and driven by care — not profit.



The project began in 2019, when a small group of friends imagined a new 
kind of space: one shaped by collaboration, creativity and social good. 
They found Level 2, 57 Willis Street, and carefully transformed it — 
dismantling, reusing and rebuilding with intention. With materials are 
salvaged and reused, the walls hold carvings of collective dreams by 
artists, and a mural by Dreamgirls Art Collective welcomes all who 
enter.



Since opening in 2021, two/fiftyseven has hosted thousands of people 
across co-working, meetings, events, gigs, and community organising. We 
offer flexible memberships with desks, meeting space, mental health 
support and shared resources. Our venue hire model helps fund free space
 for those doing vital social or environmental work.

The space is designed to be inclusive: with flat access, non-gendered 
bathrooms, accessibility-priority desks, and quiet zones. We’re also 
climate positive — offsetting more than we emit — and operate 
transparently, using income to support wider community impact.



At its heart, two/fiftyseven is more than a workspace. It’s a place of 
care, creativity and connection — built to support people and projects 
working toward a better future. Together, we’re showing how space itself
 can be a tool for change.

MusicHelps is Aotearoa’s music industry charity. We provide a 24/7 
helpline, counselling service and crisis funding for New Zealanders who 
earn a living through music ensuring that our music community can 
thrive.   Through our Grants programme, we use the power of music to 
make a difference in people’s lives by supporting projects that use 
music to help those in need – from young people battling mental health 
challenges, to communities recovering from hardship.

Our team provides extra sets of eyes and ears on the dancefloor, ready 
to support anyone who is overwhelmed or intoxicated, to encourage 
consent-based interactions, and to manage situations that require 
attention, but don’t require the involvement of medics or security. This
 frees up venue staff, event organisers and security to focus on their 
own roles. We’ll be roaming your event in pink hi-vis vests, ready to 
check on or support anyone who needs it. 

We have two main areas of focus; drug harm reduction, and consent 
education. 

Drug harm reduction
We work on evidence-based principles which acknowledge the reality of 
drug use at gigs and parties. This means we want gig-goers to make safe,
 informed decisions about their drug use, and we will offer 
non-judgmental support to anyone who needs it.

Consent education
We encourage consent in all interactions, as this is what gives a 
dancefloor a safe and welcoming feel. We encourage event organisers to 
promote messaging around respecting each others’ boundaries and autonomy
 on the dancefloor. Part of our role is to be a visible, friendly 
reminder of that kaupapa, as well as checking in, and if necessary 
intervening, on situations that seem uncomfortable or unsafe.



Pōneke Party Guardians

Psy-Care Aotearoa is an entirely volunteer-run organisation, operating 
on-site at events and festivals around Te Wai Pounamu. We operate under a
 harm reduction framework, an approach that acknowledges the reality of 
drug use in our society and implements evidence-based practices such as 
drug education and on-the-ground support to minimise the risks 
associated with drug use. 

We provide a calm and secure space for festival goers who are 
overwhelmed or struggling during the event, specifically if their 
distress is related to drug use, with the aim of making their experience
 safer and less traumatic. In situations of overdose or medical 
emergencies, we work in conjunction with the medical team, complementing
 their medical knowledge with our expertise in drug effects and 
interactions. 

We also provide education and resources on safer drug use 
and drug interactions so that people who choose to use drugs can do so 
in the safest manner possible.

Psy-Care Aotearoa

Event organisers and venue managers want to run successful, safe, and 
fun events. Care spaces at events can help people who are in distress, 
using non-judgemental peer support methods. Event Care Spaces Aotearoa 
provides a guide for anyone establishing or working alongside a care 
space in Aotearoa, sourced from the knowledge and expertise of a range 
of practitioners working in the field already.


This guidance aims to support the continued development of care spaces 
at events by establishing a broadly applicable understanding of what 
care spaces at events are and guidance on how to run them effectively. 
The website includes explanations of the values underlying the harm 
reduction approach, a step-by-step guide for those setting up their own 
care spaces, information for organisers and events who are engaging with
 a care space, and links to the existing care spaces and resources 
around Aotearoa.

Hi, I’m VJ Cubeman — Darrell Smith if we’re being formal.
I work in that space where sound turns visual — filming DJs, 
projection-mapping architecture, and creating light-driven environments 
that transform ordinary rooms into immersive experiences.



A veteran of the New Zealand music and arts industries, my visuals have 
become the backdrop for some of the country’s best parties. I’ve 
designed the look and feel for hundreds of events — from underground 
club nights and festivals to major national moments like Matariki 2022 
for Māori Television and Ahi Kā for Wellington City Council.



But just as importantly, I support the grassroots. I often lend my 
skills to community-driven events, like the “Famous for Five” roving 
party in Pukerua Bay — backing the battlers, the dreamers, and the 
artists grinding in the salt mines of creativity alongside me.



I was honoured to receive Best New Visual Artist at Rhythm & Vines 
2022, and I continue to collaborate with other artists, including Rachie
 Campbell, where we combine digital art, 2D design, and projection 
mapping to build exhibitions and VJ-led experiences across Wellington.

I’m here to connect with creatives, collaborators, and future projects —
 people who believe in transforming spaces, elevating music culture, and
 pushing immersive art forward in Aotearoa.


VJ Cubeman


My main job is DJing with my two projects: Zaira Dj and Not My Sister. 
But I work as Sound Tech for live and corporate events. I know also 
basic of Lighting. I started few years ago with NWG and kept going from 
there. I work in venue like TSB Arena, Shed22, MFC, St James Theatre, 
Moon Bar, El Barrio and ecc,. I'm also part of two sound system crews, 
Third Eye Hi-Fi and Big BadaBoom and I also have a close relationship 
with the Open Air Crew.  I've been running the Dojo Stage with Third Eye
 since three years. Happy to help wherever is need it. 



Zaira Della Pietra


I love live music. So I oriented my mahi around being able to emerse 
myself in it. I do my best to let my musicality show through my lighting
 design and operating, knowing the primary mission objective it to 
highlight moments and ride the dynamics and energy of the stage. 


I've worked a wide variety of types of live events and do my best to 
take that experience and channel into cool passionate musical projects. 


I've worked with some of the country's best technicians, and learnt a lot
 from every experience.
