Born in Ōtautahi, Finlay Anderson AKA “The Rat” first made his name at the age of 16 with his digital hardcore project Internet Death, fusing together high octane gabber/jungle beats with punk vocals and live drums. Over the years his interest swayed in different genres as he was slowly introduced into the dance music scene. He then started DJing at parties at the age of 17. His DJing style currently draws influence from UK techno, hardgroove, hypnotic and industrial, melting them together into a techno set that is hard and energetic while remaining functional and fluid. His past sets have rewarded him slots and support alongside other hard dance dj’s/artists such as Machine Girl, Keepsakes and Ebb and festivals such as Twisted Frequency, Rolling Meadows and Electric Avenue.
