His musical journey began with exploring various instruments, notably the bagpipes, whose abstract tonalities expanded his auditory horizons and eventually led him to a passion for bass music. Often described as a storyteller behind the decks, Syntrude crafts ethereal soundscapes that give way to massive wobbly bass lines and moody genre transitions. His sets are marked by melodic spaces and nature-inspired soundscapes, balancing heavy, rolling mixes with moments of breath and appreciation for breakdowns. Psymatic Sound draws inspiration from genres like ethereal bass, downtempo, glitch-hop, dubstep, and halftime bass.
