Straight from the Belgian countryside, Skimir aka William (he/him) is a bass music composer, sound engineer and soundsystem lover. Distorted basslines, analogue synths, tape noises and sharp drums are his forte. His music is a fine blend of deep melodies and upfront breaks. He produced under the alias "Datra" until 2024, then felt the need for a fresh start as his sound shifted toward a new horizon. William is also a promoter and sound engineer for High'n'Irie soundsystem and Palart Festival. Through his involvement in the Belgian alternative scene, he's dedicated to amplifying soundsystem culture in Belgium and beyond. His primary objectives include fostering events rooted in kindness, inclusivity and respect, and contributing to safer dancefloors.
