Psychedelic Ambient Doom Folk is the emotive sonic map that Serpent Dream brings to the table. Hailing from Te-Whanganui-a-Tara, the duo’s instruments are acoustic but interspersed with technology. Known for their serene vocal and violin melodies that plunge the listener into cold glistening skies, serenading guitars that evoke mossy undergrowth, and ominous soundscapes that lead deep into the dark spaces between reality and nightmares, Serpent Dream’s music is paradoxical, but the way out remains simple enough: just keep walking. “I am left with visceral, post-climactic shivers, a keen sense of post-nut clarity that feels like I have been cleansed.” - Reviewer, Fringe in the Stings
