Born from a love of low end and pharmaceuticals, Prescription Audio is a handmade sound system out of Otautahi, Christchurch. It's roots, however are firmly in the Southern Lakes region. From concept in Queenstown, drawing inspiration and under the tutelage of the highly renowned and firmly established Fidelity Sound System. Then to construction in Wānaka, the place which can certainly lay claim to being the turangawaewae of Prescription. Imagined and built by a group of friends and Wānaka locals, all with experience in, and an undeniable passion for the music scene in New Zealand and beyond. The essence of Prescription Audio is to the provide undeniable low end bass weight for all the genres under the umbrella of bass music. However, like the unrelenting mountainscape under which it was borne out of, Prescription endeavours to undulate the full sonic spectrum and to provide an unforgettable audio experience regardless of genre.
