Porcelain is a DJ who first emerged from the grassroots scene of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. With a deep interest in dark rhythms, percussive elements, and emotional melodies, Porcelain’s sets traverse a spectrum of sounds, from old school and modern jungle to drum & bass, post-dub, ambient, leftfield house and techno. With her practice rooted in her skill as a selector and mixer rather than a producer she is in a position to explore and connect with the various genres, appreciating the progression of the hardcore continuum. Yet, she remains grounded in the spirit of jungle, curating narratives of tension and release. Her selections invite listeners into an ever-shifting sonic landscape.
