Dub Styles is the ultimate B-Side to Willy Styles. Born in Ōtautahi and growing up through the mid to late 90’s rave era, Willy has found himself as an integral member of the local underground music scene and has been collecting and mixing records for well over 25 years. With a keen ear for where sub genres intersect and fresh sonic directions emerge, Willy always has a grasp on something fresh and exciting for the dance floor. His sets are equally about showcasing the future and potential of dance music while respecting and honouring the cultural history from which these important musical movements have grown in the beginning. Willy’s dedicated approach to DJing has seen him support touring artists like Sully, Coco Bryce, Om Unit, Moresounds, Zed Bias and Dennis Bovell. As well as warming up the stage for national heavyweights like Pitch Black, The Nomad and Fat Freddy’s Drop. Returning to Twisted after 4 years, Willy will be joining the Informant Dance Club for their anticipated stage take over.
