Exploring the realms between ambience and uproar, BIRDPARTY have established themselves as one of the most exciting acts in Aotearoa since emerging in 2023. Their highly anticipated self-titled album won Favourite Album of the Year at the 2025 Aotearoa Alternative Music Awards. The album dropped a week before embarking on a 16-date tour of mainland China in 2024, where they returned to tour and play Chun You festival in 2025. The duo is the merging of electronic producer and sound designer Emma Bernard (Ludus) and metal musician William Barrett (Molosser, Vicissitude, Heresiarch). They set out with the intention to search the unexplored corners of music that lay between the genres, and the worlds collided to deliver a cathartically noisy spread of cinematic, semi-industrial goods & services.
