Im building Nokturnal Sounds because I feel there's a space in Pōneke for events that celebrate underground bass music. I grew up in the UK around this music and the soundsystem culture. Since moving to Aotearoa 8 years ago I've had time to immerse my self in the culture and now I want to create events that are different to what I'm seeing and that are a little more niche. Nokturnal Sounds is about bringing together the darker side of Dubstep/140/Garage/Jungle in a immersive environment where the music and soundsystem are the main focus. Long term I'd love it to become a recognised brand that helps local DJs and Producers while introducing international artists to Pōneke. I want to create a community for the people of the underground.
