Ghost Media was formed in 2018 as a vehicle for its creator, Casper de Wit aka Young Gho$t, to host events that he could perform at alongside his peers. In the post-lockdown events boom, this snowballed into regular events in a range of genres, which naturally led to bringing artists from overseas, placing well respected international DJs alongside talented locals. In 2021 they began embracing soundsystem culture, working alongside crews such as Further Sound, Third Eye Hi-Fi and Tubs Audio to deliver audio-focused club nights showcasing a full spectrum of styles of electronic music. Since then they have maintained a commitment to DIY culture and creating unforgettable nights for music fans in Aotearoa’s capital and beyond. Nowadays, they're just trying to provide people with a good time in this capitalist hellhole we live in.
