Corner Store is a Pōneke based collective and a platform for local DJs and producers across any styles of electronic music, especially those on the fringes. Our events always have a live VJ and a focus on quality sound. We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and affordable environment for dancing and appreciating the full spectrum of electronic music, as well as hopefully opening people’s minds to more leftfield sounds. We’ve hosted gigs in venues across Wellington including Moon, b.Space, Heartbreaker & The Welsh Dragon (where it all started), and we’ve collaborated with the likes of Third Eye HiFi, Porcelain, Bella Mae, and the Pōneke Party Guardians on some of these events.

Founded by a core team of designer, VJ, and two producers (who all DJ too), we started as a platform for recorded mixes - before shifting focus in 2023 to hosting gigs, which we’ve done ever since. We’ve now become a record label as well. Our first release is ‘Reduction’ by Monday Sucks, a bouncy, minimal 4 track EP inspired by juke, footwork and jungle.
