Whether you’ve been hitting dancefloors for decades, or you’re new to the scene, it’s important to have a think about what we bring to any dance floor and being considerate of other peoples space and experience.

Personal space - Your space is yours to hold and you set your boundaries around who can be in it and when. We all love a big rowdy send at the front left stack and occasionally we bump into one another by accident. It’s important to say sorry, and be careful, respectful, and aware of the other people around you when you’re partying. If someone’s being a bit too rowdy, please utilise our care teams and report this and any creepy behaviour to Ngā Kaitiaki or Security.

Smokers - Make sure you bin those butts or bring a mobile ashtray to tuck away in your pocket. Remember, not everyone smokes and having a fat cloud of smoke blown in your face is not on, just be a GC about it.Respect the Stacks - We’re serious about our sound systems. They are not your coffee table or cubby hole, so please don’t put your drink or your stuff on or in it. If you put your stuff in the subs, everyone gets less bass, and why would you want to do that?

Stash your trash - we’ve got rubbish and recycle stations 20 seconds from each stage. Every bit of trash you produce needs to go to the right place or into your bag to suss out later, Keep that dance floor nice and clean for everyone - You wouldn’t throw your gum wrapper on the ground at your mates house.

Live in the moment yo, leave your phone in your tent/home x

Long story short just don’t be a dick and you’ll be sweet. If you see someone doing any of the above, call them out if you can If we all do our bit and stick to this etiquette, we can continue to propagate the respectful dance floor culture that we all deserve!

P.S Glowsticks are shit, we hate em, dont bring em.
