Ghost by name, ghost by nature - it's Young Gho$t! With nearly 10 years in the game now, this gingerbread soldier is no stranger to a naughty bassline in an open valley. He began his journey as a vocalist, carving out a niche with his grime-inspired brand of cynical lyricism, and has since expanded his horizons to delve into the world of electronic music production and selection. A true compiler of the obscure and the familiar, his style is rooted in open-format DJing, drawing a range of deep cuts and certified classics from a broad family tree including jungle, garage, dubstep, footwork, drum n bass, techno and whatever else he can slip into the mix. Through his promotion crew, Ghost Media, he has hosted some of the most coveted names in underground bass music, including Bakey, Plastician, Goth-Trad, Killjoy, Daseplate and 4am Kru amongst others. A frequent collaborator, he has worked with some of Aotearoa’s most prolific artists and labels, such as The Big Fresh Collective, Paige Julia, Willy Mav, Unwell, Ultraviolet and Shli.
