Waewaexpress is a passionate wahine that effortlessly switches up genres, bringing unmatched energy that gets the tīnana’s grooving. A descendant of the Kati wae-wae hapū her alias embodies her origins; the ethos of movement and dance as a form of expression. With aroha for a wide spectrum of waiata/oro, she is currently weaving the flavours of techno, breakbeat, garage, jersey club and global club traxx through out her sets. Her dj journey has enjoyed success in Ōtautahi playing a variety of shows at FLUX, her first festival ‘Port Noise’ as well as becoming a resident for Club Unique radio on RDU. She looks forward to making her Ōtepoti debut later this summer, for Dunedin Rave Collective - Negative Space.
