2023 marks twenty years since vinyl enthusiast and all-round music nerd Christo started DJing. Having an equal passion for multiple genres from the funky to the cheesy to the hard as nails sounds, this reflects in a quick fire mixing style that aims to always bring something new to listeners while keeping the energy levels through the roof. No stranger to b2b sessions, he presented the ‘You Taste Like The Tropics’ show on Threads Radio as a b2b team with Das Booty’s head man Rory K. He is currently a resident DJ at the Ravers Only nights in London, with previous residencies including Das Booty, Earblender, Insurrection and Miami Nice, and has also played several UK festivals such as Bangface Weekender and Boomtown Fair. Courtney made a bunch of stupid donk edits of traditional Scottish country music once upon a time, fast becoming donk’s first millionaire from this notoriety. She now prefers to mix across a variety of genres, with a particular soft spot for early to mid ’90s techno and hardcore, and has played at festivals such as Boomtown Fair, Bangface Weekender and Knockengorroch World Ceilidh. You can expect a deep exploration of various underground sounds of 90’s/00’s Europe and beyond during our first back to back set as Sleekit Een – think speed garage, trance, techno and gabber. Our relationship was founded on a shared appreciation of these harder, banging sounds, and this is exactly what we’ll provide – truly a match made in hardcore heaven!
