Introducing Shared Soul, the collaborative music project between Flex Webster & Jewels. Old school New Zealand music head Flex contributes the beats to the equation, while Indonesian singer / songwriter Jewels seals the deal with her sweet, soulful vocals. Their sets offer a multi-genre journey and a unique blend of worldly sounds that is rarely heard in New Zealand. Jewels has the knack to hype the crowd while Flex’s upbeat selection always keeps the dancers moving. Having recently relocated to Poneke the duo have both been working on solo material but look forward to bringing their energy back to dancefloors this Summer. Shared Soul have supported artists such as Hollie Smith, The Black Seeds, L.A.B, Julien Dyne, Frank Booker, and Flamingo Pier. They have also collaborated on various releases with local legends Ed Zuccollo, Troy Kingi, JessB, and K+Lab. Recent gigs include support duties for BAD TASTE on their LP release party in Lyttelton among others. Shared Soul celebrates inclusivity and diversity, their ethos states that they welcome anyone who ‘resonates on the same frequency’.
