Meilange emerges from a background of militant 140s, known for laying down weighty sets around Te-Whanganui-A-Tara events and Aotearoa’s festival scene. Her taste has developed into a love for experimental dance music, with strong emphases on driving bass, tenebrous atmospheres, and experimental sound design. She’s supported acts such as Truth, Paige Julia, Epoch and Ebb, and has also recently started producing her own original music, with a release on Aotearoa label Teeth and Tail. After a year of UK and European antics, Meilange has sourced more tunes to bring back to her homeland; expect the evocative, leading-edge and obscure.
