Marsha are a four-piece post-punk outfit, born in the Ōtautahi university scene in the early stretches of 2018. Their sharp performances have been shaped by playing shows at renowned bars such as Darkroom and Space Academy alongside like-minded bands such as This Dog, The Wendys, and St. Peter’s Thursday. In 2020, Ben Sinclair of Nothing Records recorded and produced a handfuls of singles including ‘Breville’. The single placed first in the RDU Te Ahi Top 10 and fifth in the SRN top 10. At the end of 2020, ‘Breville’ was nominated for a RDU Magnet award alongside some of Christchurch's finest. Their most recent single, ‘Iris’, their 2nd release of 2022, is fast-paced, anxious, and constantly shape-shifting. Their first full length album is set to be released late 2023.
