Representing Pōneke and Ōtautahi respectively, Dusty gained notoriety producing music and playing at shows and festivals across New Zealand since 2019. With a strong influence of classic dubstep, Dusty further crystalised their sound over the coming years and became known for clean sonic engineering, technical rhythmic arrangement, and boundary-pushing soundscapes. In 2021, Dusty co-founded the collective "DNG", and began hosting bass music events in Wellington, which continue to this day. In 2022 Dusty's debut release on Locus Sound was announced, followed by digital releases of singles on Infernal Sounds and Duploc. 2023 has been a stellar year for the Dusty sound, with a full length EP release on Infernal Sounds selling out its debut vinyl pressing in record time.
