Coming from a heavy metal and blues background, the move to the darkest form of electronic music was a logical one. Through his on point selections, D-Low explores the weird and wonderful sides of bass with a perfect combo of 140, reggae and dub. Making a name for himself in a short amount of time he has already played support to some of the world’s top names including Truth, Vivek, Headland, Sepia, Abstrakt Sonance, Khiva, and many more. A founding member of the PDC (Port Dubs Collective) Sound System he has put on a plethora of local events for the popular sound system at local Auckland hot spots The Thirsty Dog, Nannys and the Waitakere RSA. He also runs the charity series Bass In Your Face at Whammy Bar, which has so far raised thousands of dollars for the Mental Health Foundation of NZ. Well loved and frequently requested, he is a regular DJ at some of New Zealand’s finest club nights hosted by promoters such as Twin Digits, One Forty Dubz, and Port Dubs Collectives and has played alongside the N8-NZ, Third Eye Hi-Fi, Roots Fire Sound, Big Bada Boom, Drop Beats Not Bombs, Sic Entertainment, and Home Bass Radio crews. D-Low is also the host of an NZ radio show, 'Dubs with D-Low' on BaseFM 107.3FM (Akl) Freeview Channel 71 (NZ) and has made guest appearances on RDU 98.5FM (Chch), Radio Burger Fuel, Froth Mouth Broadcasting, and Home Bass Radio. No stranger to festivals either, D-Low has played the stages at festivals including Twisted Frequency, Otherlanz, Dimension, and Earth Beat. You can count on D-Low’s selection to always be fire.
