Akcept (Ngāti Porou/Tūhoe) is an Ōtautahi based producer and DJ known for his versatile amalgamation of heavyweight, dub inspired sounds and electronic bass music. Akcept's discography includes an ever growing assortment of releases, spanning the wider underground music spectrum on labels such as Juan Forte, Modern Hypnosis, Zam Zam Sounds, The Moth Club and AMAR. His music draws inspiration from the sparse soundscapes of techno, the DIY sampling culture of hip hop, and the low frequency rhythms and sonic manipulations of dub.
