Summer Puhia is a takatāpui artist of Māori and Irish descent, who goes under the artist name of Raukikini (Meaning 'Spicy' in Te Reo Māori). Embracing the reclamation of their Māoritanga, they infuse their identity as a Takatāpui wahine into their work. Exploring the spaces of tapu and noa, they illuminate on kaupapa such as ikura (menstruation), indigenous liberation and female empowerment.
