Lunar Intruder
Psychedelic Indie Rock, (NZ)

Renowned for their explosive and energetic sets, Lunar Intruder have firmly stamped their name in the Christchurch Music scene. The band aims to revitalise the local scene with a unique and intimate soundscape of Psychedelic Indie music.
All music is recorded and mixed at Lunar Headquarters. As such, Lunar Intruder truly defines what it is to be a homegrown NZ band in the 21st century.
The four Spacemen were first introduced into the Christchurch Music Scene in 2020 when they were awarded First Place at the annual University of Canterbury "Battle of the Bands" competition. This was closely followed by playing on the main stage at UCSA (UC Students Association) Music Festivals: Summer Stein and Tea Party. The band is now on the line-up for Twisted Frequency Festival 2022, as well as playing at Tea Party once more later this year.
The band has had the fortunate pleasure of sharing the stage with well-known local Kiwi acts such as Mako Road, Dolphin Friendly, There's A Tuesday, Summer Thieves, The Raddlers, The Butlers, The Hootź, Kimono and Castaway. Having just completed a headlining national tour, they show no signs of slowing down any time soon.
The boys released their latest EP, Outerworlds, on the 9th of July 2021. Outerworlds is a visceral experience for the listener, start to finish, and marks the shift of Lunar Intruder's genre definitively towards the niche of Psychedelic Indie Rock.
